BEST WISHES FOR A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY SEASON.
In this post 137 please consider the provoking thought about the old maxim Know Thyself, and enjoy many archive pictures of different countries taken randomly.
 WISHING YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS.

KNOW THYSELF
You have certainly heard of this famous maxim ‘Known thyself’/Connais-toi toi-même (Socrates was not its author).  This Greek aphorism came from the Temple of Apollo, and people think that is a deep thought which could have hundreds ways of application from philosophy, psychology to politics, and so on. But let me suggest this aphorism, although famous, is purely a nonsense affirmation.

You and ‘thyself’ are just one. Therefore what you can know from ‘thyself’ is already known. The more you explore and analyze your ‘thyself’ the more you get biased information. Like when you look at your face through a mirror you can only get a mirrored image of yourself. No one can see one’s real face. ‘Know thyself’ is impossible./.
