VO HA Text 1-THE FOREST THE
FOREST – Source of Vitality and Wisdom Part of VO HA – The Summer In this first exercise of VO HA, the
forest is a powerful symbol — representing both vital energy and
the depth of knowledge. The forest is where life begins
and thrives. It offers shelter, oxygen, and beauty — reminding us that true
vitality often comes from returning to our roots. In the rush and noise of
daily life, we are easily overwhelmed by worries, stress, and endless
distractions. But from time to time, it is deeply beneficial to step away
from all of that — to pause, breathe, and simply be present under the canopy
of large, ancient trees. Spending a moment in silence among
the trees allows Mother Nature to do what she does best: help us recover
our strength, clarity, and lucidity. The stillness of the forest becomes
a mirror — reflecting our inner state, calming our thoughts, and inviting
deep, restorative peace. But the forest is not only a
source of physical renewal — it also symbolizes the immensity of knowledge.
Just as the forest is vast and full of mystery, so too is the world of
learning. Reading a good book is like exploring a forest of ideas and
perspectives. Every tree, every path, every shadowed corner offers something
new to discover. To honor the spirit of this form,
we are encouraged to make reading a habit — not just for information,
but for inspiration and growth. Like walking through a quiet grove, reading
invites us to slow down, reflect, and engage with the wisdom of others |

15 - SNAKE Stance: Fighting and winning by Surprise The Snake Stance focuses on
agility, speed, and surprise. The snake strikes swiftly and unexpectedly,
making it a formidable opponent. This stance represents quick, deceptive
movements designed to catch the opponent off guard. In life, it speaks to the
power of unconventional strategies and thinking outside the box. Use surprise to your advantage.

POST 720 …
While responding to Clara, Thu-Lan took out a
key and opened the door. As they entered, a side door opened and there
appeared a man in his sixties, looking energetic, with an open face and
penetrating eyes. Thu-Lan said, bowing, "Good evening master,
you are still here." As Thu-Lan saluted him, Master Dinh-Mai observed
her. Her hands formed the Ngoc-Minh-An seal, indicating a situation requiring
immediate support. He understood the message. Master Dinh-Mai, while locking the door behind
Thu-Lan and Clara, answered: "Yes, follow me in my office." They walked along the training room, Vo-Sanh,
and entered the office. While Thu-Lan briefly told the events that had taken
place, Clara observed an emblem carved in wood which hung on the wall of the
training room through the opening of the office door. She was confused by the
resemblance of this wooden emblem to the one engraved on the scabbard of the
sword of Dinh Bao-Dan, as described in the copy of the document given to her
by her master. When Thu-Lan left to return the motorcycle, Clara found herself
alone with master Dinh-Mai. Clara: "Master, this wooden sculpture is
very beautiful!" Master Dinh-Mai: "Yes, it is. This is a
reproduction of a former emblem that represents our country, Vietnam." Master Dinh-Mai, watching Clara thoughtfully,
said: "You have just put two dangerous attackers out of the fight, and
you are still in control of yourself. How did you learn the art of
self-defense?" Clara: "I was a major in the U.S. army. I gained the necessary training to face this kind of situation. However, the techniques that allowed me to free myself were taught to me by my master of martial arts." (to
