TUYẾT PHONG /
SNOW-AND-WIND
NAME AND MEANING Tuyết means Snow; Phong means Wind. This form uses snow and wind as
training symbols to cultivate soft, continuous inner energy. The practitioner
learns to generate power internally rather than relying on muscular force.
CLASSIFICATION Snow-and-Wind is a structured training
form within VIETCHIDAO, intended for practitioners of Voviet, Vietvodao,
Viettaichi, and Vietkhiphap. In the Anti-Aging training program,
Tuyết Phong (Snow-and-Wind) is the fifth form of deep training, emphasizing
internal coordination, energy circulation, and mental stability.
STRUCTURE Tuyết Phong (Snow-and-Wind) consists
of five independent exercises, each focusing on a specific training
objective:
1.Snowing (Tuyết Rơi) – relaxation, grounding, and downward energy flow 2.Flying Hawk (Ưng Bay) – balance, expansion, and coordinated movement 3.Deepness (Thâm Xâu) – internal depth, breath control, and stability 4.Strength (Dũng Mạnh) – internal power developed without external tension 5.Crossing Fear (Vô Úy) – mental calmness, confidence, and focused awareness
Vietnamese
Lyrics 1.Tuyết rơi
nhè nhẹ mà lâu 2.Chim ưng
theo gió lên bầu trời cao 3.Anh hùng
thám hiểm lược thao 4.Trên đời
dũng mãnh ai nào trượng phu 5.Sợ gì cam
khổ đường tu Sợ gì rèn luyện chuyên chu mỗi ngày./.
TRAINING METHOD Each exercise may be practiced alone
or as part of the complete set. Perform movements slowly and smoothly,
maintaining correct posture at all times. Apply internal contraction (gong) only
during moments of stillness, without visible muscular tension. Breathing should be natural and
synchronized with movement. Repeat each movement nine times,
adjusting repetitions if relaxation or control is lost. Quality of movement and internal awareness are more important than physical intensity.
BENEFITS Regular practice of Tuyết Phong
(Snow-and-Wind) helps to:
Preserve physical strength and joint
health Improve balance and body alignment Enhance mental clarity, calmness, and
emotional stability Support long-term vitality and
anti-aging effects through efficient energy use
COMMON MISTAKES AND CORRECTIONS Moving Too Fast Mistake: Rushing through movements
reduces internal awareness. Correction: Slow down until each
movement can be clearly felt from inside the body. Using Excessive Muscular Force Mistake: Tensing muscles to create
strength blocks energy flow. Correction: Maintain softness;
internal power should arise from structure and intention, not force.
Incorrect Application of Gong
(Contraction) Mistake: Contracting continuously or
too strongly. Correction: Apply gentle internal
contraction only during stillness, then fully release.
Holding the Breath Mistake: Stopping or forcing the
breath during movements. Correction: Allow breathing to remain
natural and smooth, guided by movement.
Lack of Mental Focus Mistake: Practicing mechanically
without attention. Correction: Keep awareness on posture,
breath, and internal sensation throughout the exercise.
Overtraining Mistake: Practicing beyond one’s
current capacity, leading to fatigue or stiffness. Correction: Reduce repetitions and
prioritize consistency over intensity.
PHILOSOPHY The anti-aging philosophy of Tuyết
Phong (Snow-and-Wind) is based on developing strength through softness. By training like snow and wind—gentle,
continuous, and adaptive—the practitioner learns to conserve energy, protect
the body, and cultivate lasting physical and mental vitality./. (Charles Phan Hoang, 2026)
