LUYEN GONG Concept 
(Part One, Post 424)




Part One
For this week (Post 424) and the next week (Post 425) our training will be focused on the Method of Contraction Training LUYEN GONG

LUYEN - GÔNG (  luyện gồng) is a Vietchidao method of training to develop extraordinary force (strength) both physical and mental. It consists of contraction of muscles in/on different parts of the body while performing a specific exercise. In the end of the movement the contraction is to be held for a few seconds. Each exercise must be repeated at least 9 times for obtaining a good result. Breathing method: Basically the Lung-Breathing-Technique is good to most cases while Belly-Breathing-Technique (Tho Bung) could be applied for advanced training.

LUYEN GONG
 EXERCISE (Part One, Post 424)



In this Autumn Program, for the practice of Contraction Training, LUYEN GONG, we have selected a form called NHAT LUYEN GONG, meaning Daily Training of Contraction which comprises five movements. Each movement could be detached from the whole form to be executed as an independent exercise.
1.Exercise KIM, Iron
2.Exercise THUY, Water
3.Exercise MOC, Wood
4. Exercise HOA, Fire
5. Exercise THO, Earth

In this Part One (Post 424) you are invited to learn by executing at least nine times each of these five exercises. Further, in the Part Two (Post 425, next week) we will deal with the meaning and advanced issues.
