POST 417 12 OCT. 2019 The MID-AUTUMN FULL MOON |
|
|
THE MID-AUTUMN FULL MOON This year, 2019, the Vietnamese traditional “ RAM THANG TAM, Mid-Autumn full moon festival” was on the September 13, last month. Traditionally the Vietnamese people consider the full moon of the 8th month of lunar calendar is the most beautiful of the year and the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrated on that day is a great celebration for Children. But the problem for most of our Vietchi System members (Vietchidao) who live in the northern part of the globe (Canada, USA, Poland, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain etc.) is that the “mid-autumn full moon” is more likely on October rather than in September! So what is the solution? Of course we continue to enjoy the celebration of mid-autumn full moon according to the lunar date of Vietnamese tradition which is in September but, for us, we will also consider the date of October-full-moon as a mark where the moon has a strong influence on our body and mind. This date will remind us to daily practice our Autumn Seasonal Exercises and Autumn Mental Training on this program to make us be more in harmony with the autumnal season, to help us have better health and wiser vision. The October-full-moon is on this weekend (11-12 October), it would be great to take some time going out to enjoy the beauty of the sky, and the magnificence of the moon. BE STRONG, BE HAPPY Charles Phan Hoang, Oct. 11, 2019 |

WRITING
FROM MASTER BERNARD LEGENDRE
_____________________________
(to be
continued, a suivre)
