WAY OF PRACTICE Mastering martial arts demands deep training and great patience. The key to success lies in the willingness to persistently train. You have the option to practice alone or collaborate with a small group. Training with others can provide motivation, support, and social interaction. Whether you prefer independent practice or group sessions, our exercises can be tailored to meet your unique needs and schedule. This makes them an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their body-and-mind performances. Charles Phan Hoang Post 668 July 27, 2024 |

VO
HA
GREAT SUMMER |
|
In
this post, you will find the full version of the form (quyen) VO HA, titled
"The Summer." The
form VO HA comprises four exercises:
KHAI
MOC: Exploring The Forest HOA
SEN: The Lotus Flower SANG
SONG: Crossing The River RONG
NUOC: The Water Dragon
SYMBOLS
AND WISDOMS OF THE FOUR EXERCISES: KHAI MOC: The Forest The
forest symbolizes vitality. Occasionally, it is beneficial to set aside
life's worries and spend a moment in the tranquility of large trees. Mother
Nature helps us regain strength and clarity. The forest also represents the
vastness of knowledge; reading a good book is akin to exploring a forest of
wisdom. Developing a habit of reading good books is essential.
HOA SEN: The Lotus Flower The
lotus flower symbolizes purity and beauty. This principle should be applied
to all aspects of life, including our thoughts, actions, work, self-care, and
the maintenance of our belongings.
SANG SONG: Crossing The River This
exercise is inspired by the closing mantra of the Heart Sutra (Prajnaparamita
Hrdaya Sutra/Bat Nha Tam Kinh) in Sanskrit: "Gate,
gate, paragate, parasamgate. Bodhi Svaha." This
translates to "Ending all sufferings, arriving at the shore of
Enlightenment."
RONG NUOC: The Water Dragon According
to an ancient myth, the Vietnamese people are descended from a dragon lord
(Lac Long Quan) and an immortal mountain fairy (Au-Co). The dragon symbolizes
the emperor and the nation's power, offering protection to the people and water
for agriculture. There are five versions of the dragon: the Iron Dragon, the
Wood Dragon, the Water Dragon, the Fire Dragon, and the Earth Dragon
