THE DEAD SEA The Dead Sea holds
the title of the lowest body water on Earth with over 423 meters below the
sea level. You imagine, 423 meters! No fish can survive there and the high
density of saline water keeps bathers amusingly afloat. I once got this
curious experience in a hot summer day after climbing down from the
mountaintop fortress Masada (1987). ___________________________________________

DAI-HOANG
Quyen THE GREAT CLARITY
For this month of September you will find in this Blog
the teaching of DAI-HOANG Quyen, THE GREAT CLARITY, a very profound and special
form quyen (kata) to know. DAI-HOANG Quyen integrates in nine movements the
most controversial aspects in martial-art: Hard-way versus Soft-way;
Fighting-practice versus Theoretical-study; Traditional-animal-imitation versus
Symbol-interpretation; and so on. Moreover, Đại-Hoàng Quyền, offers a new
arrangement of the Order of the Eight Trigrams on a circle. This teaching on
Strategy is profoundly challenging the traditional understanding of the Early
Arrangement of Eight-Trigrams in the book of Y-Ching. Of course, the limited
space of this blog does not allow much development on Đại-Hoàng Quyền, but we
firmly believe that serious teachers will discover themselves through the
deep practice of this form many valuable teachings on martial-art-techniques,
on the Eight Trigrams, as well as on life-philosophy. (To
be continued on next Post 465) ------------------------------------------------ In this
Post 464 you will find the three first movements of DAI HOANG Quyen, the rest
will follow with Post 465 and Post 466.
