Edwards Deming   Edwards Deming was the physicist, who after the end of WW2,  taught the Japanese how to make their products better. The products were of poor quality. They applied his methods  and this brought about the high quality products that they make today.  The highest Japanese Award for Quality is called the Deming Award, in honour of Edwards Deming.
