STICK The form DA GIANG
STICK (ĐÀ GIANG BỔNG) is one of
the most important training forms in the Vietnamese Art of the Stick. This form consists of
eight independent exercises, all based on the same fundamental principle: the
practitioner stands at the center of the moving stick, which symbolizes a
world in constant evolution, balanced between positive and negative forces. The name (or Thieu
/ lyric) given to each exercise expresses its spirit and serves as a guide
for action, whether in attack or defense, in martial arts practice, or in the
philosophy of everyday life.
