POST 73
I left Palma this morning and just arrived a few moments ago in VERONA.
Not much people in the streets, however I found my hotel Scalzi without difficulty (about 600 metres from the train station)
The Restaurant Tre Rissotti is fabulous!
Verona by night look like... Verona!
See many of you in Stage Padova 17 November
Good night

POST 70 11NOV2012 MAGICAL PALMA
Yes, Palma is a magical city.
The more I explore Palma the less I feel I know it.
A hundred medieval narrow streets surprisingly clean make you feel safe; a thousand restaurants and coffee shops in all styles attract you. Some dozen parks everywhere, many talented musicians and magic men, churches and churches, also all kind of nice dogs here and there.... how could you know where you are when people around you are tall and speak German :-)
Palma is a mysterious city! I'll have more to tell you.
Hope to see many of you in the coming PADOVA STAGE 17,18 November.

POST 71
POST 71 14NOV2012 for MY BIRTHDAY POST 14 NOVEMBER
If one day it happens that you are visiting Palma (Mallorca island, Spain) you should not miss two things:
1-Late night go alone through many narrow streets around the area of the Central Youth Hostel, near Placa San Francisc and imagine how Palma was a few centuries ago, and how today we could always go back in the past., with or without risk..
2-Take the old train, built in 1906, to Soller. Just sit, feel, and dream! Then try to go back to Palma by... "auto-stop" (hit hiking)
I am writing this in Palma while the whole country of Spain is in HUELGO GENERAL /General Strike and Demonstration/Manifestation. Today is one of my birthdays (Yes, I have several birthdays!). Master Phan Hoang is a Scorpio, you know.
Enjoy a good day.
SPONTANEOUS LETTER No 62
11 November 2012
THE TRAIN OF SOLLER. It goes slowly.
To bring us back in time.
Over a century ago.
The time of MIRO.
His art work still shows us in this train.
That Spain is great.
Nicely we , visitors, are back on the old tracks.
To Soller, and beyond.
Mountains, fields, olive trees, pins.
Some tunnels and some stone houses.
Through this fabulous train of time.
I saw all, and also felt.
The dream of my grand-father.
Who loved to travel by train
The train of his time.
The train that never goes back.
PHAN HOANG.
