By now Halloween is approaching fast. Pumpkins, a symbol of autumn, have been present everywhere in town and some giant pumpkins are in exhibition in downtown. It is time to visit the By Ward Market in Ottawa and enjoy a specific ambiance of this season in this old place where the Present is full of nostalgic images and traditions from the Past; a giant pumpkin or a Beaver Tail pastry or a totem statue can easily convince you of that. The Future is also present too because you cannot miss noticing right here the noisy construction of the modern station for the new born O-train which will run through the city next year, 2018. Two blocks away, on the top of a new high-rise building, probably the tallest in this city center, I just discovered a unique place to enjoy a snack at the nice bar of this new hotel looking across the By Ward. A dreaming place!

This month my small Sony camera, my devout companion, just got his ten years of service throughout so many places in the world continues to be my eyes capturing spontaneous images to share with you. Hope you will enjoy following me to By Ward Market….
