		THE PETRIE ISLAND I love this place. In these nice days I often come here early in the morning to do my exercises and enjoy walking along the fascinating beach and the quiet trails. Situated in the Ottawa River, in summer this small paradise can show us the greatness of Nature, the kindness of its transient people and the beauty of flowers and birds. There are over 130 species of birds and many interesting animals. In winter although it’s sleeping under a thick layer of snow this paradise continues to display the great power of silence and the purity of Nature. Walking slowly on this island I feel entering into a world of great freedom and happiness. I’d like to share with you, in this Post 409, some pictures taken in this island recently.
