More than ever, in this corona pandemic 2020, the practice of breathing exercises is crucial for health improvement.
There are five METHODS OF BREATHING which are the foundation to a great number of breathing exercises. From this Post 447 we will present for five consecutive weeks (Post 447 to Post 451) the five Methods of Breathing which are

1-LUNG Breathing
2-BELLY Breathing
3-LUNG-BELLY Breathing
4-CHEST Breathing
5-SHOULDER Breathing

The question is not about knowing these exercises because a number of you have already learned it through our past Posts, the important thing is DOING IT. Please do your exercise every day to the great benefit for health and wellness.

LUNG-BREATHING





METHOD THO-PHOI /LUNG-BREATHING

METHOD THO-PHOI /LUNG-BREATHING is the first of five basic methods of breathing that any Black Belt should know.
This method focuses on the natural breathing of the lungs with deep and powerful respiration. Please see the attached picture to do this exercise

THE ABDOMEN-BREATHING




 Abdomen-Breathing or Belly-Breathing (Tho-Bung)  is a breathing method which employs movements of the abdomen to help in expanding (when breathing in) and compressing (when breathing out) the lungs. While breathing in feel the breath being expanded into the depths of the belly then hold the breath for a few seconds before breathing out by drawing the belly in.
This Belly-Breathing method is very effective to stimulate the circulation of inner-energy, to improve the body balance and strength  the general condition of the body. Also it contributes to prevent low back pain. This is the second method of Five Breathing Methods in Vietchidao system; numerous exercises require the application of this method (e.g. in the practice of Ha-Co, and in the Hara training).

Shoulder-Breathing 





5.Tho-Vai,  Shoulder-Breathing . This method employs movements of the shoulders to help in expanding and compressing the lungs.
5.Tho-Vai, la Méthode de l'Épaule. Cette méthode emploie des mouvements de l’épaule pour aider à l'expansion et la compression des poumons.
5.Tho-Vai, il Metodo della Spalla. Questo metodo usa i movimenti delle spalle per aiutare ad espandere e comprimere i polmoni.
