POST 735 … During the fifteen-year occupation of
Vietnam, from 1414 to 1428, General Huyen-Nhan, also head of the secret
police, had embezzled and extorted for his own a lot of wealth and gold. He
had accumulated a real treasure! In 1428, when the Ming army retreated, the
General could not carry the treasure, believed to be around two tons, with
him. So, he hid it in the province of Yen-Bai, near Nui-Hu. He drew a
detailed map that he carefully kept hidden, so he could retrieve his treasure
when the time was propitious. Unfortunately, on the way back to China, his
troops were attacked in the early morning so everybody had to leave hastily
without having a chance to collect their personal belongings. The map fell
into the hands of a Vietnamese captain who kept it with care although he did
not know its meaning. Thus, to date, the treasure is still buried somewhere
in northern Vietnam and several rival descendants of the General Huyen-Nhan
are looking for it. Everyone had responded to the call of
'the Boss' except Lam-Tieu. 'The Boss': "Where is Lam-Tieu?
Since my arrival, I could not reach him. He was about to obtain information
on the Sacred Seal and probably also about the treasure. Today, I talked to
his wife who knows nothing about the activities of her husband, but she
noticed that all of the cash has disappeared and she has not heard from him
since. We must find him as soon as possible because he has important
information that should not be disclosed, especially to our rival
organization of Cholon in Saigon which is also in search of the lost
treasure. It is possible that he jumped ship to get a bigger share of the
booty from our rivals. We must catch him before he gets under their
protection. I'll call my contact with the police to have surveillance on the
departures at the airport and you go immediately to the train station to
check the departure of trains”. Pointing
to his men, he said: “Be specifically alert for trains leaving for Saigon as
it is likely his destination. I will also call our men in Saigon to check the
