VAN
THU
Ten-Thousand-Hands
(Part
One, Post 422)
|
||
You are invited to practice the Method Luyen-Luc (Strength Training) with this chieu (small form) Ten-Thousand-Hands (VAN THU). Please see the attached pictures
a.Aim.
-Training hand speed and strength
-Boosting physical condition and mental determination to get ready for
action
-Fighting flu, gaining optimism.
b.Source. This exercise has been utilized by Master Phan Hoang at
various international training sessions to open a series of Black-Belt
training . Later, in 2012, it is integrated, as Chapter 9, to the book TRONG
DONG (WINTER TRAINING), and published in the collection of books of Vietchi
Institute (edio.catoni@gmail.com)
c. Name. The name Van-Thu
could be literally translated as Ten-Thousand-Hands. In fact, for our purpose
10.000 is not a number! It is a symbol, meaning ‘many, many’. This exercise is also known by another name: Dai-Truong (The Large Intestine).
d. Training. The training method consists of two aspects:
Step 1. Speed Training.
Step 2. Strength
Training
For this week, Step 1
(Post 422), you are invited to focus your effort on gaining the speed and the
precision of the movement of your hands. (Please see the attached pictures.)
In this Van-Thu Exercise
a round
consists of four
movements as shown in the following pictures:
-Pic1: Right hand
oblique hitting
-Pic2: Left hand oblique
hitting
-Pic3: Right hand
downward hitting
-Pic4: Right hand
oblique hitting
You will execute a round , with high precision and speed,
as fast as you can. Again and again, faster and faster, until you reach your
limit. For our Black-Belts Training the standard number of rounds is set at
108 rounds.
END OF PART ONE
(to be continued on the
next post, Post 423, which will deal with the Strength Training and the Strategy
in Life)
